As you progress further into any weight loss program the foods that you choose will change as initially you’ll be eating predominantly for weight loss.
The key to your nutritional needs will change as you move closer to an optimal weight loss level. You will focus more towards maintenance rather than weight loss.
It is a good idea to consider your previous lifestyle and health problems when contemplating reverting back to your previous habits.
Staying away from those old habits will get easier as you get fitter and healthier.
Once you feel that your fitness level is rising and that your health is improving it becomes easier to avoid backsliding into your old habits because of the progress that you see. For this reason where possible try to choose a weight loss program that will optimize your health quickly even if there is more weight to lose.
When you take the correct balance of vitamins and minerals you feel better and improve your well being. Taking supplementation will reduce the chances of your body reacting to the changes in nutrition.
Take two people with all things being equal, the one who uses supplements, provided they are the right ones, will achieve more success a lot sooner with their weight loss program than the other who uses no supplementation at all.
Don’t over due it, it is very easy to spend a lot of money on supplements. A good multivitamin and mineral supplement taken daily will be sufficient.
