If you are like every other yo-yo dieter out there, chances are you have started and stopped several diet plans with no success. We know we need to do something about our weight, we just don’t know where to begin. Some of us think we’re too far gone, the journey will be too difficult.
Sometimes we face a special event that is important. Maybe our Wedding, Graduation, or husband returning from Iraq. And we can feel almost panicky about losing before the big event. We really have to do something now, but, what?
Does this sound like your dieting experience? You’re full of excitement. You know this time will be different. The first week goes fine.
The second week is ok, a little harder than the first but you’re still sticking to it. And then what happens? You bend the rules a bit and start falling back into your old habits.
The healthy meal plans below are simple and healthy. With these you can put together a meal plan you will be able to follow?
Right now is a good time to get started on these healthy meal plans.
Include protein in every meal of the day, including breakfast. Eggs, cottage cheese, raw nut butter or smoked fish are examples of breakfast protein. Don’t pass up carbohydrates, like oatmeal, or wheat bread. And include fruit and vegetables.
The same rules apply as breakfast. An easy way to ensure that you always have a healthy protein available for lunch is to pack leftovers from dinner the night before. Leftover hamburger, chicken legs or wild fish are all great to include in a salad or over vegetables.
You can really be creative with dinner. Look for recipes that are quick and easy and modify them with your own healthy ingredients as needed. Again, always remember to include protein and carbohydrates.
Keep plenty of health snacks handy. Hunger can lead to binge eating, so you never want to let your body get too hungry.
Fruit, non-fat cottage cheese, raw nuts are great snacks.
Following simple and healthy meal plans like these is the first step in achieving your health and fitness goals.
